Angela Weeks is the Project Director for the QIC. Prior to her work with the Institute, Angela was the RISE (Recognize, Intervene, Support, and Empower) Program Manager at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. During her work at RISE, she helped create, implement, and evaluate interventions intended to increase well-being and permanency for LGBTQ+ children and youth in the child welfare system. As part of that work, she provided training, coaching and technical assistance to private and county child welfare and juvenile justice agencies throughout California. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Prior to her work in systems of care, she served in the United States Army as a trainer and health care manager.
